Entitlement is the number of days leave each member of your team is allowed, on a yearly basis. In your “Organisation Settings” page, you will have already defined a “Company Start Date” - this is the date on which your entitlement will refresh.
In the picture below Sansa is entitled to 25 days “Holiday Entitlement”. When your holiday calendar year/company start date renews, Sansa will be re-issued with another 25 days of leave.
Along side entitlement is “Remaining Leave” - this is the depleting count of holidays Sansa has already taken. Either of these values can be increased or decreased.
In your “Organisation Settings”, if you have enabled “Allow Carry Over” - any remaining days will be added to the entitlement, when it is refreshed.
For example, if you have carry over enabled (with a maximum of 5 days), and Sansa has entitlement of 25 days, with only 8 days remaining to take at the end of the holiday calendar year - she will be updated with 30 days of leave, on the 1st of the month of “Company Start Date”.
